Use all of our below options to personalize your AI-powered document creation

**API documentation:** <https://docmaker.co/API>

**Endpoint URL:** <https://api.v3.docmaker.co/intelligent\\_fill>

This endpoint accepts every parameter documented on the docx\_fill\_convert API parameters page, plus the parameters below.

### Intelligent-fill-specific parameters:

<table><thead><tr><th width="214">Parameter</th><th width="137">Values enum</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><code>"rawText"</code></td><td></td><td><strong>Required.</strong> The unstructured text that the LLM will parse and map to your template's tags (e.g. an email, meeting notes, a form response).</td></tr><tr><td><code>"userPrompt"</code></td><td></td><td>Additional instructions for the LLM on how to interpret the raw text (e.g. "dates are in DD/MM/YYYY format" or "only extract the second invoice mentioned").</td></tr><tr><td><code>"templateID"</code></td><td></td><td>ID of the docx template uploaded in your docmaker.co dashboard.</td></tr><tr><td><code>"templateURL"</code></td><td></td><td>As an alternative to the templateID, you may provide the full URL of your docx template file. Has to be a public file.</td></tr><tr><td><code>"name"</code></td><td></td><td>Name of the result file, has to include the extension (.pdf or .docx)</td></tr><tr><td><code>"outputType"</code></td><td><code>pdf</code>, <code>docx</code></td><td>Desired output format. PDF templates can only output PDF; docx templates can output either.</td></tr><tr><td><code>"fontSize"</code></td><td></td><td>Font size to be used for filled text.</td></tr><tr><td><code>"image_data"</code></td><td></td><td>Image data to insert into the template, same as in <code>docx_fill_convert</code>.</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Example request:

```json
{
  "name": "invoice.pdf",
  "templateID": "tmpl_abc123",
  "rawText": "Client: John Doe\nAmount: 1500 EUR\nDate: 2026-04-30",
  "outputType": "pdf"
}
```

As with every docMaker route, the call returns `202` immediately with a `jobId`. Poll `GET /jobs/{jobId}` or set a `webhook_url` to retrieve the result once processing completes.
